The Grady McWhiney Research Foundation is a a Texas 501(c)3 private operating
foundation. Its goal in life is to advance popular education and understanding
in its areas of historical interest — the Antebellum South, the Civil War,
Texas history and Texana, and American military history. It is a non-profit
organization, and most of its operating expenses are covered by a small
but growing endowment and donations from people and groups who support
