| The books in the Texas Heritage Series feature collections of stories about
what life was like growing up in the different eras of Texas history. From
buffalo hunting on the Texas frontier in the 1890s (Buffalo Days by J. Wright Mooar), to growing up on a ranch during the Great Depression
(What I Learned on the Ranch by James B. Frazier), to life in a small Texas town during the ’50s and
’60s (A Small Town in Texas by Glenn Dromgoole), this series gives readers of all ages an idea of
just how much times have changed. There are eight books in the series to
date, several of which have been used in middle school / junior high classrooms. Click on the cover illustration to see a larger picture of the book, or on the title for a full description and online ordering. Use your browser’s BACK button to return to this page. |
